I got a text message from a friend wondering if I would be intersted in buying his HL/Torr KV2. It was a good price , so I picked it up the same day.

Since the JP I'm wrking on is a long way from finished, I thought, let's do this a little faster and with a bitt less add on's, so I can actually finnish a build...

Anyway. It came as a German capture (as the torro turret comes that way) And prev Builder had made a Winter Wash theme.

I wanted to bring it back to big green monster again, so the first task was to remove the 'Winter wash' from the tank and replace the german cupola. The part was bought from RCtank.de

Then , giving the turret a rest, I started on cleaning the lower hull

Ok, back to the turret again.

After adding the resin coupla and sanding Down for bringing it back to 'mother land' I got a thin layer of primer on it.

Just adding a few weld lines




then With the AK 4BO Modulation set , I went on and lay'd Down some color

So after coloring the turret, I went on with the lower hull.
removing extra kv1 armor and sanding gaps, and in general adding small details. But I dont want to overdo it, and never get done, so..










PE parts ore real leather for straps... I think I og With PE for the ease of bending

Hull is primed

So. Next was to get hold of some parts. Shopping is fun While browsing one can find some really hidden, mostly German. websites With some cool bit's and pieces

I also got hold of a Aber PE oildrum and some other parts from rctank.de

I wanted to see how the pe vs resin part would look once done ( and also to practise on my PE skills)

Once primed and painted they came out like this




One si going to semi covered by a tarp.

so the lower hull has now got some color

and final With satin varnish before filter and Wash

The lower hul has now receiced a few layers' of filters and Wash. Some light chipping, and streaking on the back also

Powder time .




AK pigments and thinner, once dry leaving a dried look on the surface of the kv





On the fenders a thicker layer was mixed and added

After a long wait, the lower hull is here. So time to get started again on the KV
